Update WebAgent Service

Introduction

The WebAgent Service is used for communication between the WebAgent FrontEnd and AnywhereNow components.

Prerequisites

When updating to DC2022.04 or higher:
- API Plugin became mandatory, see: Install API plugin
- CallControls Plugin became part of each WebAgent license level.
When updating to DC2022.06 or higher:
- ASP.NET Core 6.0.8 (or a later 6.0 series) Hosting is required, Install WebAgent Service
When updating to DC2023.04 or higher:
- CallControls Plugin is no longer used, for information about removing see: Un-install Call Controls plugin
- EventForwarder Plugin requires the Uri setting, see: Add Plugin Settings

Update

Update Bundle Manifest

Note

The Bundle Manifest is only loaded during startup.

Each bundle package contains a "manifest_bundle.json" file.
Copy this file to the configured directory:

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\WebAgentService\App_Data\
```

Note

The CallControls Plugin and the API Plugin will have to be manually updated to the versions included in a Bundle package. All other Core Plugins (like EventForwarder, ListsPlugin, CustomSessions) will be updated by the Core update script.

Deploy package

Unzip the WebAgent Service package
Edit the properties.ps1
1. Domain = Domain of the install account
2. UserName = Username of the install account
Run installWebAgentService.ps1 -update in PowerShell as administrator
